Country Sunrise

Although it was extremely windy last Spring when I was hunting for a composition somewhere around Bear Butte State Park, I was awestruck at the abundance of sweet clover fields around the mountain.

Although I was hoping for a more dramatic sunrise I am still pleased with this mid Autumn shot of Bear Butte featuring a slight dusting of frost and snow.

Although I was practically eaten alive by mosquito swarms, using a polarizer filter on my lens accentuated the color and depth of this image rendering it worth the blood sacrifice.
Winter Blues
This scene was too beautiful to pass up so braving below zero temperatures and a frigid wind I waited for the sunrise and then quickly captured this snowy shot of Bear Butte on a frightfully cold Winter morning.
Rural Tranquility
I am never disappointed whenever I explore the Bear Butte area. When I was there this past Spring the stormy skies combined with the leading lines made by farm equipment made this image one of my favorites.
