Although it was extremely windy last Spring when I was searching for a good shot somewhere around Bear Butte State Park, I was awestruck at the abundance of sweet clover fields around the mountain and settled for this image which shows movement from the high winds.

This scene was too beautiful to pass up so braving below zero temperatures and a frigid wind I waited for the sunrise and then quickly captured this snowy shot of Bear Butte on a frightfully cold Winter morning.

Watching from the distance as the sun dropped lower on the horizon I waited until Bear Butte was bathed in golden sunlight, then I quickly captured this long lens image of a frigid Winter sunset on Bear Butte.

I am never disappointed whenever I explore the Bear Butte area. When I visited last Spring the stormy skies, great leading lines from farm equipment and lush green grasses made this image of my favorites.
