Midnight Glow

This is a single exposure, midnight shot of the Milky Way Core over Badlands National Park in South Dakota. The colors in the sky are from airglow or nightglow.

Moonlit Serenity

On this particular Summer evening at Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park, an incredibly bright half moon illuminated the water and the granite boulders. Such a peaceful and relaxing way to end a warm Summer day!

Autumn Airglow

Far from perfect, I was so happy to get this good of an image with my Canon T6s cropped sensor dslr and the kit lens that came with it. What a thrill to witness and photograph pictures of Airglow from the Northern Lights! Such an amazing and colorful display in the night sky, behind Bear Butte mountain and the partially frozen Bear Butte lake!

Moonspiration

It took me almost a year of searching for the best location to capture this single exposure long lens shot of the moon setting behind Black Elk Peak in the Black Hills. Never give up!
