Super Buck Moon

This impromptu photo of the Super Buck Moon was captured at Legion Lake in Custer State Park. I was on my way out of the park when I saw this spectacular sight! I immediately pulled my vehicle off the road so that I could capture this beautiful view with my 300mm lens.

I had no problem losing sleep to chase after Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE with my camera gear last Summer which resulted in snagging one of my all time favorite shots, a single exposure of Comet Neowise at Custer State Park in the Black Hills!

Foggy Forest

This image was cropped and darkened a little to bring out the mysterious atmosphere of the picturesque Ponderosa Pine forest on this particular Summer morning. The temperature was mild and the fog was abundant, it's like having a natural soft box when shooting nature landscapes.

Last Fall while driving by Belle Fourche Reservoir in the Northern Black Hills, I observed a great photo opportunity was about to happen.
